Our Story
Gauri, the founder of Seeds of Scent, transitioned from a background in pharmacy in Mumbai to the captivating realm of perfumery in Paris. She attended Perfume school in France, followed by Fragrance marketing in Italy which provided her the foundation to start her journey into the fascinating world of fragrances.
Having honed her scent designing skills for 15 years, initially with the fragrance house IFF and then with L'Oréal, she realized her dream of establishing her own company in 2024. During her work at L’Oréal, she worked on several memorable olfactive signatures, from L’Oréal Paris face creams to Armani lipsticks to Ambre Solaire sun range. This bought her to the realisation that having a unique scent signature does not have be reserved to brands, every individual can have their own olfactive identity. This fundamental principle inspired the creation of Seeds of Scent, specializing in interactive fragrance workshops, making the craft of scent personalization fun, experiential and accessible to all.
Our Philosophy
We have adopted a “slow scent” approach, where we take time to enable you to understand the notes that go into the final product through sensory awareness. The raw materials used to create our notes are made from consciously selected, high-quality ingredients produced in Grasse. At Seeds of Scent, we visualize the different notes of the fragrance as carefully chosen seeds that are planted and come together harmoniously, to bloom and present a final olfactive creation.
Our fragrances are safe, vegan, cruelty free and comply with current European regulations.
We are environmentally conscious; no single-use plastic is used during our workshops. Our fragrance bottles can be refilled, reused or upcycled.
Lastly, we consider fragrance making as an art and a form of self-expression. We provide our clients a medium to be creative, to express emotions or revive memories by capturing it in a bottle.
